The Mid-Delta Senior Adult Program is designed to meet the needs of elderly citizens in Monroe County.  The goals are to provide a challenging, interesting, and active environment geared to help enable our older Americans to remain independent.  The Senior Adult Program provides a variety of  recreational activities, socialization with others, congregate meals, arts and crafts, exercise, shopping assistance, field trips, and transportation.

Home delivered meals are available for older adults who are home bound.  Hot nutritious meals are delivered right to their door and aids in helping them remain in their homes and out of institutions.  There are eligibility requirements for both the Congregate Meal and Home-Delivered Meal Programs.

Contract meals are available for a fee, upon request, for those older adults that do not qualify for either of these programs.
Mid-Delta Community Services field trip to the new visitors center. The Senior Adult Program provides services designed to promote independence with dignity for senior citizens 60 years old or older. Field trips are just one of the activities that provide interaction with other seniors in the community. Birdie Knowlton, Program Coordinator, stated “the seniors really enjoyed going to the welcome center.”
